I founded Nail Magic York in 1993 after qualifying as a nail technician and beauty therapist in 1992.
I completed my Nail extension course with "Just Nails" based in Harrogate, and specialized for a long time in Silk nail extensions because they are the most natural looking nail extensions, you can wear them without nail varnish, as they don't discolour, sadly due to Covid not only did that effect me personally, but it has had a long term effect the supply of the silk and resin required to provide this service. As a result I have now had to take the difficult decision on only focusing on Acrylic nail extensions, but rest assured the quality and look and feel of my nails has not been adversley impacted. Perhaps in time suppliers will be in a position to restock and allow me to add this back into my portfolio.
I run a small, home-based studio in Haxby my first clients consisting of family and friends but now my customer base continues to grow, and contains many clients from all over the Yorkshire area and sometimes even further a field.
My Salon is my home, it is filled with fun and laughter, family, and my furry friends who are Sky a black Labrador and Lucas and Crystal my two cats. They can come say hello for those that want to meet them, equally they will hide away for those that don't (even my Husband behaves most of the time! )
